Sweet Potato Races (formerly Zucchini Race)

THE GREAT SWEET POTATO RACE IS ON! 
Smithfield’s most spud-tacular competition is rolling in on June 28th — and YOU (and your sweet potato) are invited!
What is a Sweet Potato Race?It’s simple:
Grab a sweet potato
Add wheels
Decorate it
Let it FLY down our 3-lane, 16-foot track
Laugh, cheer, and maybe even win!
RULES TO REMEMBER
Racers must be under 10” wide Sweet potato must be the main body (no attaching to toy cars!) Gravity-powered only – no motors! You can use 3 or 4 wheels Two age classes:12 & Under
Everyone Else (Yes, Adults too!)
Prizes for 1st & 2nd place in each class + Best Decorated Racer 
Races begin at 1:00 PM — bring your racer to the track by 12:30!
